How To Set Up A Makeup Station

"I am wanting to put together a makeup station for my daughter'south room (like the moving picture) but using the MALM breast of three drawers on either end.

If so what did you lot employ as a 'table top' or whatever suggestions would be great. The depth of the chest of drawers is 48cm (xviii 7/eight ")."

The items in the picture show are definitely a LINNMON tabletop, on height of ALEX drawer units. I fabricated a visual of possible items to recreate the makeup vanity below.

Still, as you mentioned the LINNMON and ALEX combo at 60cm (22 7/8″) is a bit too deep for your space.

I sympathize why you would want to use a MALM three-drawer chest to prop up the table summit instead. Information technology's lovely as a desk like this ane hither.

The countertop that goes with the depth of the MALM, without whatsoever modifications, would be the TOLKEN from the bathroom department.

It's 49 cm (19 i/4″) deep. One cm overhang, perfect!

It also comes in a few lengths. In the UK, the longest one seems to be 102cm. The United states store sells a 140cm (55 7/viii″) version. So check in stores to exist sure.

I dearest the bamboo finish. IKEA also carries the range in marble effect, white and anthracite. (See the TOLKEN range here)

To pair with the MALM chest (80 cm length) and if you lot're stuck with the 102 cm long TOLKEN, you tin can combine a 62cm TOLKEN with a 102cm countertop to go a longer tabular array top. Like and so:

Spiral in from under the MALM peak to secure the TOLKEN sections to the dresser.

Here's a tutorial for the Hollywood mirror. The hack was for a full length mirror only it should work for a shorter 1. If you rather not tinker with bulbs and cablevision, get a ready made i on Amazon. Lots of options hither.
